    Default Multi PLC Porject

    Hi everyone,

I'm starting a new project and I have a question about drivers. My project has up to 12 machines with their own PLC each of them, what is a better option, a single driver with different net conections for each PLC or a driver for each PLC? I need to have good communication and I have to make sure the project has good scalability properties.

Any hint will be more than welcome, thank you all.

You are not the first person asking this on the Forum, have you tried the Search ...?

By only 12 PLCs it probably doesn't mater; eventually only if you have thousands of variables per PLC, then optimum is by 4x3 or 3x4.
I personally prefer projects where i have an instance per PLC, then i can stop/simulate the particular driver independently. The limit are about 250 drivers (or about 80 if zenon Runtime runs as service).
