    Default Periodic Synchronization of PLC

    Hi all,
I'm a beginner on zenon and I would like to send periodically a command of synchronization on driver IEC104 to one or more PLCs (RTUs).
This command should be sent eg. every five minutes once the link IEC104 with the PLC is up.

Many thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Filippo

Create T103 variable(s) and zenon function 'write set value' to this variable. In the function activate the option 'directly to the Hardware'. Then link the function in the module Time Control.

    Hello,

If I Execute T103_Set function for 5 minute interval using time control, does it will affect the any other functionalities in program?
Example: If I am providing any other Manual command and at same time periodically T103_Set function gets ON whether it affect to the command which I am providing manually?

    Regards,
    Rahul.

Are the modern computers performant enough to do some simple task each 5 minutes

zenon has a function queue (help: Manual > Functions and scripts > Functions > Execution sequence during Runtime). Each function - the user/project executes - is taken into the queue and then performed. Thus, theoretically it may happen that you configure period of 5 minutes, but it will be executed after 5 minutes and 100 milliseconds instead, e.g. while RT had more as this one function. Anyway, in the ASDU<103> the driver sends the time information of command execution IN DRIVER, nothing what user did, or not did, in the Runtime before.
