Frage To Create Realtime Values Calculated in Certain Period of Time

    Hi there,

Is there a way to create a realtime daily energy variable from the total energy value?

I have some devices that only give total energy value which is cumulative and increases every day. And, I want to see the realtime energy value of today on Zenon Runtime. But I don't know how to do it? Maybe by using Zenon Logic or else?

I tried Data Reduction on Mathematical Variables but these calculations are not working healthy on long periods and reset after rebooting Runtime.

The problem is, I have 112 devices from different projects, therefore the method must be something easy to create.

    Dear Zeynel,

there is a zenon Logic function block called "VACO" which can be used to convert absolute to relative counter values.
It is reseted by a trigger variable and can be therefore easily used to accumulate the daily energy usage.

    Regards,
    Felix

I was trying to do something similar.

I am trying to use VACO FB in Zenon Logic. The problem is that its output does not update even when the conditions are met.
The Runtime event viewer shows two entries:

    - Embedded Software missing: VACO
    - Cycle time overflow

    What could be the problem?

Probably your installation is not complete. Please contact your local Support and let know what version and build you are using.
Alternatively, you can create your own UDFB calculating the current value compared to old value. The additional variable for old value you can configure as 'retain' variable, then zenon Logic can load it from HDD while restart.

This means that your Project - Settings - General - 'cycle time' is wrongly configured (too fast). Your code execution takes longer as this configured cycle.
