    Default Message control-SMTP message error

    Hi,

    I tried to configure a gmail account in Zenon message control but could not send any message. Copadata tech support was able to send the message with my email address and also tried the sample backup provided by techsupport. I tried in two different systems and the result was same, I need this to be done as customer requesting for automated report via email.while checking the diag viewer it is showing opening connection failed. Any solution would be helpful

    Try to add section [MessageControl] in zenon6.ini file.

    Hello sandeep2018,

    I think its pretty hard with just the description "i can't send a email via messagecontrol smtp".

    Some thinks you can check is everything configured correctly also the use of the zenon internal help can give information on that.
    can you ping the smtp server from your machine.
    is some other application blocking the ports.
    what says the diagnosisviewer of zenon when you try to send the message.
    In google as i can remember you also have to enable the access for external tools.

    Hi,

    I was not able to ping smtp.gmail.com but after connecting to a different network I could ping it. I have already configured the gmail address in microsoft outlook and able to send emails. Diagviewer saying opening connection failed. Zenon techsupport engineer tried to support but during that I could not ping smtp.gmail.com. Today I just dropped a mail to them but meanwhile if any one have a solution would be appreciated. I have already enabled the google settings and Zenon tech team could send using this email address
