    Default MODRTU32 symbolic address

    Dear COPA DATA forum members,

To sum up the story, I am using MODRtu32 driver, and what I have seen symbolic address is like in IEC - 61850 (please see attachment).
Can somenone explain me if MODRTU32 uses symblic address for reading variables ststuse nad values,or it all goes through variable name using Modbus standard byte order?

Is there any article/forum post/ documnet where I can see how this communication works?

    Best regards,
    DamirO

    Dear DamirO,

Thank you very much for your post.

The symbolic address field contains a MMS address as the respective variables were previously linked to an IEC850 driver (that supports symbolic addressing). As you can recognize this variable property field is now grayed out so that the symbolic field is no longer used by the driver in the runtime.

On the other hand, you can confirm that symbolic addressing is not supported by the MODRTU32 driver:

    Thank you very much.

    Best regards,
