Default Menu Bar in main project

    Hi,

I have used the run time menus function to navigate through the integration projects. Is it possible to customize this menu window size and all as it is appearing in very small font in runtime system. The purpose is to navigate through the sub projects from the server only. Also sometimes the menus not visible

    Version 8.00 SP0 Build46644 32Bit

    Regards
    Sandy

    Hello Sandy,

The main menus are still available mostly for compatibility reasons, therefore their customization is quite limited compared to other actual zenon offered solutions that rely on the different screen elements available but also on all the possible screens/frames configurations.

    Documentation reference: Manual > Menus

Anyway, while the menu window size is fixed, the text font of the menus can be configured when selecting a menu instance in the Menus detailed view.

To navigate through different project screens (and projects) I would recommend you to follow the implementation of the Project Configuration Wizard that is started automatically when creating a new project in the Editor Workspace.

This includes a navigation bar with multiple buttons that allow to open sub menus and can be fully configurable in terms of functionality but also graphically.

I would also recommend to consult the DEMO project included when installing zenon for further inspiration.

    Good luck.

    Best regards,
    David Cerdeira

    Hello David,

Thanks for sharing the info, currently I have added the mainproject "Overview" Screen in all sub projects and all subprojects "Main screen" button in overview screen this way I can navigate to all projects but to make the screen little more attractive i will try to use the method you suggested.

Another issue with the alarm bar in main screen- ie I have configured the open alarm bar along with the main screen in all sub projects and it is working fine, there are some alarm filtering in screen switch function to get the current date alarms but operator need to switch the screen everyday to update the list. Any suggestion for this would help

    Regards
    Sandy

    Mr. Sandy,

it must remain disabled so that the list is automatically refreshed.

    Dear David,

It was already disabled, my issue is the time filtering as we need to display only current date alarms

    Hello Sandy,

    Ok.

In that case, please activate the option "Current alarms only" - Active: Only alarms that are still
active, i.e. whose values are still in the critical range, are displayed.

    All the best,
    David Cerdeira
