Default GOOSE Message(Goose Client) to Zenon SCADA

    Dear Team,

In GOOSE Client we can receive GOOSE Message, Can we get any Event or Alarm into CEL/AML. Can we call the GOOSE Client in Zenon Runtime.

    Warm Regards

In zenon Logic (/ straton) Workbench the additional tool - 'GOOSE Client' - is a sniffer, similar like Wireshark is. This sniffing of GOOSE is available only in editor (Workbench), not in the runtime.

In the Runtime, for GOOSE subscription (the reception of the values incoming via GOOSE messages, which other IEDs in the Ethernet network are publishing) you have to use the zenon Logic fieldbus driver 'IEC61850 Server with GOOSE'. The zenon Logic (/straton) variables created in this driver have a Profile, so are also automatically available for zenon - via stratonNG driver.

With the coming release of zenon version 8.10 we will release the completed documentation of the 850-Server driver. If you need improved documentation right now, and a sample project with zenon & zenon Logic with GOOSE - please contact your local COPA-DATA support on official way.

    Dear Ma'm

Thank you for the quick response!
    I'm using Zenon Version 7.60 SP0 Build 54483
I have tried using ZENON Logic fieldbus driver 'IEC61850 Server with GOOSE'.I have changed the extension of file from SCD to SCL for browsing.
Can we have more extensions to browse in ZENON Logic fieldbus driver like SSD, SCD, CID, IID or SED format?
What is the extending of usability of the SCL Editor? Is SCL Editor useful for modifying SCL files of an IED and can we make changes in IED with modified SCL.

the SCL Editor in zenon Logic Workbench is the integrated tool to prepare an ICD-file, typically from scratch. You need it, if you don't have a SCL file for your IEC61850 Server.
To configure the driver IEC61850 Server - for its own data model - you can use a SCL file made in any SCL (or XML, or text) editor. It have to contain the data model of an IED according the standard part IEC 61850-6. The file name, and the file extension, doesn't matter; if you don't see the file in browser- rename it.

To configure then the driver IEC61850 Server to also subscribe (receive) GOOSE - you have to also "teach" it: how the data models of all those other IED publishing (sending) GOOSE looks like and what GOOSE Control Blocks they have. To do this you have use the second tab in the driver configuration - the 'GOOSE' tab. There you can append the SCL files of remote IEDs that are sending GOOSE messages (are GOOSE publishers). In a tree view there, the driver displays only the GOOSE Control Blocks with Data Attributes available in GOOSE messages; and not the complete data models of other IEDs. In the tree you can then select the variables (= Data Attributes in other IEDs), which are then automatically created.
The values of those variables will be received via GOOSE.

If the only thing you need in your IEC61850 Server is the GOOSE subscription, then its own data model (the tree-view in the first tab) can be very simple and consists of only Logical Node LLN0. But on tab 'GOOSE' you have to configure what the driver shall receive, basing on SCD file with Substation description (all devices) or basing on import file-by-file of SCL-files of all interesting publishers.
