Default IEC 60870-5-101_104 Value Write Issue

    Dear Support Team,

We are set an setup of IEC 60870-5-104 Straton as Slave and browsing variables using Zenon IEC 60870-5-101_104 driver as Master. All Tags are communicating perfectly between Master and Slave, but could not write value from Master (Zenon). We have found following Error in execution. Kindly provide solution as soon as possible.

    Warm Regards

    Dear Srikanth,

in IEC 60870 there are special variable types for communicating either in monitoring (from slave to master) or in command (from master to slave) direction.

It seems that you are trying to write a value (on master side) to a variable that is for monitoring which is not allowed.
Please configure an additional variable in command direction for writing values to the slave.

    Best regards,
    Felix

    Dear Felix,

We have done Fieldbus Configuration : IEC60870 slave as per attachment and Created Variables " T45 Single command " as a type identification COA=1,IOA =5. When we are trying to browse from Master (Zenon Driver) IEC 60870. respective variable is not browsing (invisible) .

we cant even see variables from T30 in the master browsing .

    Warm Regards

    Dear Srikanth,

due to protocol restrictions for IEC 60870 the online browsing for variables only works for variables in monitoring connection.
Types like T30 need to be configured manually on zenon side.

Please refer to the driver docu for details:IEC870 > Creating variables > Creating variables by importing > Online import

    Regards,
    Felix
