    Hello Support,

I have one doubt for SNMP driver,          How many IED we can add in single SNMP driver ?
A large memory (CPU & memory) used by this driver. I want to minimize it.

For Example, I have 16 switch, so how many driver i have to create so that system can rum smoothly.

    Thank you in advance.

it depends what you are doing then with variables in your project and how performant is the PC. Try out with one switch then you will see.

I'm not an expert in snmp drivers (there are two, an older and NG - new generation), but i suppose for these drivers the rules are similar like for all zenon process drivers via TCP - the quantity of connections in driver (here snmp agents) could be limited to some word (or maybe dword?) e.g. 65535. The quantity of driver instances you can create in a single project is 255 (more or less).
For evaluation of ports of only 16 switches i would start by use of single driver instance acquiring data from those 16 snmp agents.

BTW, Forum is not Support. If you need support, write a email to your local COPA-DATA Support.
