    Default Check communication with plc

    Hi all,

I am new on the forum. Sorry if my post is not on right place.
How to check communication with PLC (S7 tcp driver), and show status as flag on zenon SCADA. Example, comm. Good = flag value 1; comm. Bad (Lost) = flag value 0.
Is there an built in mechanism to detect comm. status?

    Best regards.

Default Re: Check communication with plc

    Hello milosh,

in the help chapter 'Manual -> Variables -> Drivers -> Communication details' you can find a 'ConnectionStates' variable with the offset 61, which works for most drivers. Unfortunately, this variable has the datatype string, so if you need it as a boolean value you would have to parse it, e.g. with a string reaction-matrix including wildcards.

    Best regards,
    Lukas
