Hardware Requirements

Hi support,

We want change an exisiting SCADA to Zenon EE, but client wants use the existing computers (hot stand by system). The computers are:

- Model: UNO4683
  Manufacter: Advantech
  W7 PRO
  Core i7 2.0 GHz
  4G DDR3 SDRAM
  64GB SSD

- Model: ECU4784
  Manufacter: Advantech
  W8 or W10
  Intel Haswell Core i7 4650U 1.7GHz dual-core
  DDR3L 1.35V non-ECC 8G
  128GB SSD

The architecture is a redudnacy system (with a monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to both server with a kvm), SCADA talks with 20 IEDs in IEC61850, 3 IEDs in Modbus and send dato to a Master SCADA in IEC104 and Modbus to another.

Will be a problem to use the same computers?

Hi Jose,

You should look in the help documentation located under for more specific information:
Manual -> Installation and updates -> System requirements -> Hardware requirements

Personally, I do not see any issues with the hardware you listed. Everything else you mentioned can be handled in zenon (redundancy, IEC61850, Modbus...).
