you can utilize SCL files in straton (*.icd, *.cid, *.scd, *.xml) when you setup your IEC61850 server, by right-clicking on the configured IEC61850 server in the straton IO configuration, and choose "read variables from .SCL file".

By clicking "insert" you can locate your .SCL file and the contents are displayed in a treeview. You can select the items you want. After acknowledging, the variables for the selected items are automatically created in straton.

With the IEC61850 client in straton, you can also choose to read from a .SCL file, and optionally create the items selected in straton automatically. Additionally, you can browse the items from the IEC61850 server directly.

If your question is, if zenon or straton includes a .SCL editor, the answer unfortunately is no. .SCL files will either have to be available or be created with 3rd party software, e.g. with software which comes with the device or other 3rd party software for creating .SCL files available on the market, including simple .xml editors.

Maybe you can start a new thread in the appopriate forum, and include some more information where exactly you need help, and a detailed description.

Are you using the straton IEC61850 client? Or are you using the zenon IEC61850 client driver?

What have you tried so far, and what were the results?
