Default Screen resolution and Windows CE

I developing an application for a customer who has a "Base" application I am to start developing from. This "Base" app has a resolution set for 1280x768. The Base is mainly used for the PC platform, but my application is targeted for Windows CE. Will the "Adjust Monitor Resolution" setting work in this case or do I have to change the Base res to match the CE device?

    Thanks,
    Scott

generally the "adjust monitor resolution" does work. The screens are scaled to match the target resolution.

If it will work in your situation depends on two things. One is how the project is designed (what fonts are used, if e.g. bitmap buttons are used etc.) and another is the difference in screenresolution.

With very big differences, e.g. 1280x1024 and a CE device with 320x240, things might be scaled in a way that it e.g. is hard to recognize text because it is so small. If your CE device has a screenresolution of e.g. 800x600, it might work well enough.
