    Default COMTRADE files

    Hello!

Does Modbus serial and IEC103 master drivers support collecting disturbance data from protection devices and is it possible to view this data (comtrade files) in Zenon Energy edition SCADA?

    Best regards,
    Gregor

The iec60870-103 driver supports disturbance data transfer but not in COMTRADE format yet. The information becoming from protection device is not sufficient to generate file in COMTRADE format. As i know, a customer is converting disturbance files using self-written VBA macros.

What about viewing comtrade files in Zenon. Is there maybe ready available user interface for opening, viewing and analyzing comtrade files?

Current zenon version (6.22 SP1) does not have any build-in comtrade file Viewer . Maybe you can workaround it showing an external Viewer in html picture or in an ActiveX element?

And the good news , we are going to extend the IEC60870-103 driver with disturbance data transfer in comtrade format. It comes probably in zenon 6.50.

In zenon 7.50 we are releasing the Viewer of COMTRADE files as WPF element.
