    Default Database cannot be opened! Error

    I cannot open my existing projects, restore backups, or create new projects in zenOn 6.22 SP0. I get the error "Database cannot be opened! (project_name)"

    When I try to create a new project, I get an error stating that zenDBSrv.exe is not running. When I manually start zenDBSrv.exe it starts then exits.

    I have the same problem with version 7.6 of zenon. How did you solve this problem?

    Hi angeloCocilovo and welcome to the forum!

    To resolve such database-issue you can try the following:
    - Close zenon Editor / Runtime / logic Runtime / Startup tool
    - Open windows services (services.msc) and search for SQL Server (ZENON_2012)
    - Restart the SQL-server and await success
    - Register the affected zenon version and open the Editor again

    If this problem persist I suggest to contact your local COPA-DATA support to gain further assistance upon this issue.

    A big thank you for your answer but the problem persists.

    I restarted the server that was already active.

    I will therefore contact the Copa-Data service. I'll keep you posted if I find a solution.

    It reminds me very much of the issue we faced with recently. During backup restore process there was a message that server is not running/not available for connection.

    By any chance do you have the only Zenon 6.22 installed at your machine?
