Default Active Directory - Invalid Password

I have activated Acces to Active Directory in Zenon 7.50.
In the Runtime i can login with Domain Controller Accout, with a normal AD-User i got the message "Invalid Password".
So someone know this problem and have a solution?

    Many Thanks

    Hi Christoph,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum

Were you able to successfully login this normal AD user on this machine in Windows?

There are a couple of requirements for logging in AD users in the zenon runtime. The main ones are listed below:

    - The runtime must be started by a domain user
    - The AD user that is used at login, must be a member of the same domain as the domain user that started the runtime
    - AD users must have interactive login privileges
    - AD users must be enabled
    - A domain controller for the domain of which the AD user that started the runtime / the user that is used at login, is a member, must be reachable

I hope this helps to give some pointers. A login of an AD user in the runtime using "domain\user" or "user@domain", specifying a different domain, currently is not supported.

    Best regards,
    Mark

Default AW: Re: Active Directory - Invalid Password

    Hello Mark,

    - Runtime is started as Domain User
    - User is member of this domain (we only have one domain)
    - What do you mean with interactive login privileges? How can i configure it?
    - user is active
    - AD is available. Runtime is started on a Windows Server 2008 R2 and i am logged as this user where the message "invalid password" comes.

    Hi Christoph,

When you are logged in with the AD user which with you are getting the invalid password message, this means that this user has the interactive login privilege. Otherwise login in Windows would also not have succeeded.

Right now, unfortunately, I don't have an idea straight away. Probably best to contact your local support representative, for further assistance in this matter.

    Best regards,
    Mark
