    Hi archie,

Which server do you exactly mean? Do you mean our zenon Web Server?

    Just normal clients?
As far as I know there should be no problem. But at some point the hardware will make some problems and cannot handle the synchronization anymore.

    hi.

As Xandi stated, there is no limitation in the number of clients connected to a server. But every single client does reloads which creates a workload on the Server. If an excessive number of clients is connected this could lead to a high load situation on the server. Therefore it is possible to optimize the reload procedure of clients.

Please check out the help chapter outlined in the attached screenshot for details.

    Hi Archie,

As this is posted in the CE, Display and Operating forum, I have to ask if the platform that is running the runtime as a server, is in fact a client or a normal PC?

Devices with Windows CE generally have limited hardware resources. The number of clients that can connect may be less than when the runtime is running on a PC platform.

If this is a Windows CE device, also the Windows CE version makes a difference. Windows CE 5, only allows 32 MB of RAM to be allocated per process. Windows CE 6 and Windows Embedded Compact 7, do not have this limitation.

If this is in fact a normal PC platform, a runtime server on a modern hardware should be able to handle 50 - 100 clients, easily.

    Best regards,
    Mark
