    Default delay in redundancy

    Hello ,

Ií m glad to tell you that redundancy had finally worked, but I have some problems with delays response, because when I disconnect the primary server, I must wait more than 30 seconds to visualize my states. In other hand, when I disconnect the secondary server I donít have such a delay.
One other thing is that I have the entire view of my application just in server1, for the 2 others (server2 and PC-client) I canít visualize my tab menu.
Enclosed, you can see pictures that show what i previously described.

    Hello,

I assume the 30 seconds you see is simply a network timeout setting, The standby server maintains a buffer to take care of data and ensure there is no data loss between the time the failure actually occurs, and the time the standby recognizes the failure.

In the zenon Startup Tool -> Application -> Options -> Network configuration, there is a setting where you can define the Network communication timeout. This setting is PC Specific, so do not forget to apply it to other clients if so desired.

Find more information in the zenon Help:
Manual -> Tools -> Startup Tool -> Start dialog -> Application -> Network configuration

    Hello,

Maybe you have an AUTOSTART script in zenon (under Functions->Scripts) which loads your menus? Well in a zenon network project, you will want to copy/paste that autostart script and give them special names to also be executed on the clients:

    AUSTOSTART_CLIENT
    ...somefunction
    ...somefunction

Check the zenon tutorial for a practical example: Manual (F1) -> First steps -> Scripts -> Creating scripts

Check the zenon documentation for further explanation: Manual (F1) -> Functions and scripts -> Scripts -> Pre-defined scripts

Also, with network project, you must also be aware about internal variables and their "Calculation" property. Check out Manual (F1) - > Drivers -> Internal -> Driver-specific functions.
