Default Adding IEC850 driver variables in CEL

    hi,

I want to display IEC850 driver variables in chronological event list(CEL) when there is change in the value. Is there any way to display the variables in the CEL without setting the flag of 'Chronological Event List' in the 'Limit' section of the variable.

    Regards,
    Vishnuteja

Default AW: Adding IEC850 driver variables in CEL

    Hi,

usually such a scenario is addressed by archiving (on value change).

There is a setting at the variable: Set value -> Logging -> All, but this only logs Set value actions/changes via the API.

You could also create an online container in the API and write cel entries in the ValueChangeEvent but I don't know if this is the best solution for your scenario.

    Regards,
    Bernhard

Using Reaction matrix instead of limits in each variable?

You are right, this should work and would be the best solution!

no reaction matrix can't be used because for some variable i have used limits. I have bool and integer variables. And i have approximately 5000 variables.

Friend, i have 5600 iec850 variables.... (Current, Voltage, etc. protections, a lot of switches...), and use limits in each variables.
Or limits, or REMA. no other ways, i think

    hi nvishnuteja,

Archiving of variable values mentioned by bernhardf you can find in node 'Historian'. The data is then stored in additional files, not in CEL. To access this data you can use screen type 'Archive revision' (nice for reports and for exporting into other tools) or 'Extended Trend' (nice for measured values, e.g. to follow changes of V or A or Hz).

Reaction matrix mentioned by diemon can store data in CEL: you can create a single ReMa as 'Multi numeric' with one state - for 'Value' = 'Any', with activated 'Treat each change of value as new limit violation' and 'in Chronological Event list'. Then you can multi-select all variables you want and with one click you can link all these variables with the same ReMa (variable property 'Limit values' - 'Reaction matrix').
