Default Driver for Emerson FlowBoss S600

    Hi

I've been tasked with trying to connect to and communicating with an Emerson FloBoss S600 Flow Computer via TCP.

Is this possible with the Modbus RTU and Open Modbus TCP driver?

    I'm using Zenon 7.11 SP0 32bit

    Regards,
    Neil

    Hi Neil,

yes exactly, it is possible with the Modbus RTU and Open Modbus TCP driver.
The driver runs as 32 Bit application.

There are also two special object types in the driver to read out the Daniel Modbus registers, ( I think the S600 has it).

    These are
Holding Register Double (64 bit register)
    and
Holding Register Float (32 bit register)

    Hi Markus,

Great, thanks for your reply. I'll be trying to test this over the coming weeks.

I've managed to display values from the Holding Register successfully, however I am unable to write values back.

I'm receiving the error - CallSPSwrite Failed! ERROR -10 which from the driver documentation states a timeout while communicating with Slave. Needless to say I've then tried to adjust the timeouts within the error handling section, but still to no avail. I also noticed in the documentation that the in the object the modbus functionality should be available. In addition, I have tested with a modbus tcp/ip simulator and was able read and write without problems.

Am I able to use this driver to write values back the the S600?

    Regards,
    Neil
