Default Alarm message compare with current Date

    Dear Support Team,
We are having the Cleaning Cycle Date in "String" format.
We would like to generate a alarm if the cleaning date is matched with current date.
Please help me to do this if it is possible...

For me the simplest would be to use zenon Logic.
Are you familial already with zenon Logic? It is powerful and nice tool. And you can use it not only for this task but much more, so it is worth to invest in learning Logic. What about take a training?

    To describe possible solution shortly:
    1. create Logic program connected with zenon via stratonNG driver.
    2. create in zenon a stratonNG variable - BOOL for alarm (and eventually the second STRING for date).
    3. use allocation to copy value of your variable Cleaning_date to STRING variable in Logic (or set Cleaning_date variable 'external visible' and in Logic create driver 'zenon to straton connection' - in zenon Help also called Shared Memory Driver)
    4. In Logic create a 'main' program. Probably the easiest choice for you would be to use ST-language (has syntax similar to VBA/Pascal etc.).
    5. write code checking current date and comparing with Cleaning_date (see e.g. Function Block DTCurDate) --> when equal set BOOL variable value 1.

    Dear Ursulb,

    Thank you for your suggestion.
I am familiar with Zenon logic also. But the problem is, this is not less amount of variable.
I am having so many variables related to this cleaning date in my project. So I think, writing a logic for this will be a very big process. And also we have to purchase the license also for the Zenon Logic according to the number of variables used in logic.
So is it any other method available in Zenon Editor itself...?

    Best Regards,
    Navaneet.

variables used in integrated solution between zenon and Logic are not consuming licenses.

    Hi Ursulap,
I am not more aware about this license, I think if I want to use the driver variables (external variable) in zenon logic, we need license.
But anyhow, the license is not a problem, If we don't have any other option in Editor itself, I try this logic. Just I like to know is any other option is there in Editor to do this task..?

    Thanking You,
    Best Regards,
    Navaneet.

    Hi Ursulp,

Thank you. I think, zenon logic is better for me compare to VBA/VSTA. I didn't work more on this VBA/VSTA.
If it is no option like reaction matrix, math variable, function etc which is directly available in Zenon Editor, I can use Zenon Logic.

    Best Regards,
    Navaneet.
