I am interested in to know.
What are generated .CEL file in project folder?

Hi Parisa,

These are binary proprietary files in a compacted format generated by the zenon runtime that allow the runtime to display the audit trail / chronologic event list (CEL)

If you want to have the audit trail in a readable file format, have a look at the standard functions to export the CEL.

If you have .CEL files that have become very large, please have a look at which variables / components in your project is generating a lot of (unnecessary) events in the CEL.

Hi Mark,

Actually we have a customer and then have sent us these .CEL files und wanted us to open this file. They want to use this files on a computer, which doesn't have Zenon.

Now I must try to open the file and make make a file for example a .TXT or something like this.

I have tried but couldn't read it.

Hi Parisa,

These .CEL files, together with the project runtime files, form an integral part. They are no use as standalone files.

Please ask your customer to either provide the project, or to export the event list in a readable format.
