Default Number of not Acknowledged Alarms

    Dear specialists,
could you advice me how to write number of not acknowledged alarms into variable. I found that it is possible to get this parameter from the SYSDRV driver using system variable "Alarms not acknowledged". But the question is, how to get number of not acknowledged alarms of chosen class/group/area?

Default AW: Number of not Acknowledged Alarms

    Dear Kateryna.

Alarm groups/classes do differ from alarm areas. The way to go is to define your alarm classes and link them to an alarm area then. In the alarm areas properties you will find the Class linking. If you link an alarm class you can define variables for the number of active alarms and for the number of unacknowledged alarms within that particular alarm class.

Don't forget to link the alarm area in the variables alarm handling properties then.

    best regards,
    Johannes

Default Re: Number of not Acknowledged Alarms

    Dear specialists,

I'm trying to solve the same problem with only one difference, what I need is to find out the number of unacknowledged alarms from the one specific class and area and place this number to the variable.

This number increments each time when the new alarm comes. But the problem is, when the new alarm comes and then goes before I'm able to acknowledge it and then I acknowledge it (as an alarm which is gone) the number of unacknowledged alarms doesn't decrement back. To rephrase, the number of unacknowledged alarms stay the same even if alarm has already gone and then been acknowledged.

If I acknowledge alarm before it's gone the number of unacknowledged alarm decrease as expected.

Please, could anyone explain why number of unacknowledged alarms depends on sequence of acknowledgment based on when the alarm leave.
