## How to have cumulative alarms time in report

I need to do a report where weekly or montly display, for some alarm, count and total time (active property).
With count no problem
About time, I extract the singol "active" data from alarm, but I didn't find the way to sum this data. The problem, I think, is because extracted is a string. There is any way to convert the data in order to have this total time?

I hope to be clear enought

Thanx

the active property is actually a time format.

What you can do, is convert with "=int(A1)" the active time in cell A1 into an integer value and sum this value. However this only works correctly for active times below one minute. An Alarm with an active time of e.g. 1m37seconds, will result in the integer value of 137.

Maybe you want to take a look at the additional module "Industrial Performance Analyzer" or short IPA.

This allows comprehensive alarm statistics and reporting!

I already know IPA (or I think to know), but in this case I need to give count of some alarms, time of alarms and do some calculation like avaibility ...ie ((totaltime report -alarm time)*100/totaltime).
I not sure that IPA is the good tools to do this job.
I'm wrong?

## Re: How to have cumulative alarms time in report

One more questions...
I the mean time I found a possible solutions.
Extract Initial time and Final time of alarm in two different columns.
Then using the formula:
Hour(FinalTime*3600)+Minute(FinalTime*60)+Second(F inalTime) -
Hour(InitialTime*3600)+Minute(InitialTime*60)+Seco nd(InitialTime)
I can have active time in seconds
The only problem is that in the row where I extract alarms time I put the RowTitol "E" to expand rows.
I write the formula on the same row 1st row but calculation is working just in that row
There is any way to link the formula to any new row
Thanx

I think the IPA is just the module for this! You should be able to test the IPA by using the demo serial number.

when using the E (expand) row, the calculation in another column is not automatically increased.

You could copy/paste for the maximum estimate of rows the formula for the calculation.

Another possibility would be to set the maximum "from file" in order to get a fixed maximum number of alarms. (e.g. for each alarmclass or alarmgroup seperately)
