Default Access to internal variables not linked to a screen

    Hello,

I have created some internal variables which are not linked to any of the screens. However I would like to use their values in a VBA macro run either by a button or by a time function.

If I try to get their values by method:

    thisProject.Variables.Item("intern1").value

it looks as if they were not initialised unless they are linked to any of the objects in the active screen. Is it possible to initialize them during the application boot?

    All the Best,
    Piotr

Default Re: Access to internal variables not linked to a screen

Is the variable you want to read "advised" (visible in a screen, in an online container, defined as an alarm, set to DDE active/Permanently Read Variable", ...)

If not, you won't be able to read a value until the variable is advised.
