Lächeln Authorized login links to screen switch

    Hi,

Does anyone has idea how to link to different screen when login is succeeded?
I created login template, when user clicked login button with authorized username and password, user will be leaded to a main page, any idea?
    Thanks.

Default AW: Authorized login links to screen switch

    hi,
I believe you can use the screen´s end function for this. Open the login screen´s properties, there you will find the property Group "Execution". In this Group there is a property called "End function:" where you can link the screenswitch function that opens your main screen.

    best regards
    Alex

    Thanks for reply.
Yes, end function works, but when user clicked cancel, this end function will execute as well, possible to execute/switch screen only on valid login
    Thanks

Create Systemvariable "Logged User". Then create a Reactionmatrix (Type String). If Value <> "SYSTEM" you can execute PictureSwitchFunction on every Change of value.
Link it to the "Logged User" Variable.

Right. With this solution you can also automatically switch to the login screen when a user logs out. You just need to add another line in the Reaction Matrix.

    Hi, alexf and mst,
    Thanks for your attention.
To enhance the login function, how to identify if the user is added from runtime, by using default (change user)? Reaction matrix is programmed and fixed with user created by default. If user added from runtime, how we can compare if the user is valid user. Thanks.

    hello yitlilee,

unfortunately you can't Change the reaction Matrix in the runtime so you can´t have new entries for new users created in the runtime. Also adapting the reaction Matrix for active Directory users is not possible.
What are you trying to achieve? Why do you want to know which user has loged in? Do you want to use this information to switch do different screens? Maybe it would be sufficient to use the information about the users rights (System varaible) instead of the users Name. With this you could e.g. jump to Screen A for all users with authentication Level 127 and jump to Screen B fur all users with authentication Level 126.

    hello yitlilee,

you Need to add the System Driver variables "current authorization Group 1" throu 4. These contain the authorisazion Levels of the logged in user. Now you can assign a reaction Matrix to one of these variables (which ever contains the authorzation Levels you need) and perform the screenswitch functions based on this reaction Matrix.
One problem might be that the reaction Matrix will not recognize a Change when a user logs in while another user is loged in and both have the same rights.

    Hi Alexf,
Thanks for your solution, it works well.
    However, for instance,
when I assign user with level 2 authorization, in reaction matrix, I need to set authorization greater than 2, then user only can access successfully.
If I set reaction matrix, authorization level equal to 2, user is not allowed to access.
This is inconvenient, need to reshuffle the authorization level assigned.
