    Default Report Viewer. Custom Assemblies

    Hello,

Can you help me with Report viewer?

I tried to include library, for example, System.Data or custom lib and in RT I can't see my report.

In Report Builder Assemblies is work(in Preview mode).

    Windows 7 x86, Sprecon-V460 v7.10 build 7770

    Best regards,
    Viacheslav

    Hi slaff,

I don't have experience with this myself and am not sure if this actually works. Have you tried putting the compiled assembly in the same directory as the .rdl file for the runtime files?

Are there any particular error messages logged to the diagnosis server when you open the report in the runtime?

    Best regards,
    Mark

    Thanks for answer,
Yes, I saw it in diagnostic viewer and the first problem is solved, I used NET framework 4.0 in my assembly, when it's need to be use 3.5. But now I have a new problem. When I use a reference to my assembly, in RT I see this message (pic1).

Maybe there is some configuration file where I can change the settings for the display Report Viewer?

    Hi slaff,

As said earlier, I haven't done this myself and am not sure if this is actually possible. But if you do manage to get it to work, it would be great if you could post an examle here in the forum

Googling a bit for your error message, I found the following which could be helpful:

    Hello,
I'm not sure if it will works to implement a dll in the Report Viewer. As I know the dll will be executed at the reporting Server. The Report Viewer is just a Client and the dll will not be executed. I tried the same thing. My DLL worked at the zenon Analyzer (here we have the reporting Server) at a Report. The same DLL didn't work at the Report Viewer.
I'm not sure but I think this will not work with the Report Viewer. This is just a Client.
