How to display trending with variable identification in curve name by default?
How to display trending with variable identification in curve name by default?
Hi yitlilee,
welcome to the COPA-DATA Forum.
First of all it would be helpful to let us know which zenon version you are using, on which platform you planned to run the project (PC/CE), also processor platform (x86/ARM) and operating system (Windows XP/Vista/7/8 (embedded?), Windows CE5, CE6, WEC7).
Then it would be appreciated to give some more details as out of one sentence I cannot comprehend your situation.
I just can guess and so I guess you are using an "extended trend" (ETM) screen type and inside there you are using the control element "expanded curve list".
So on a PC it is now possible to configure this element in the dialog of the screen switch function and can be found under the title "Column settings -> Expanded curve list"
There you can add/remove/move/resize/etc. the expanded curve list as you whish.
You can also find this information by searching in the help here:
Manual -> Extended trend -> Engineering in the Editor -> Creating a new diagram -> Column settings for extended curve lists
But to be sure that this answer helps you solving your issue more information is requred
With best regards

I am using Zenon 7.10 SP0, 32 bit, installed in windows server 2012.
Yes, it is ETM.
I am facing issue that, by default, curve name is displayed as variable name.
However, variable name in my case is not "readable" by client.
Therefore, for each variable, description is assigned in each identification.
For client to recognize variable description, I need to display variable identification in curve name or title in default.
Is that any way automatically display variable identification in ETM?
Thanks.
Hope can hear from you soon, as this is project is in handover stage.
Thanks so much
Anyone can please advise, thanks
Hi yitlilee,
I'm sorry, but in zenon 7.10 the variable identification can not be displayed.
In the next version, zenon 7.11, it will be possible to add more columns to this list, also through the previously described way.
With best regards
Read an old post similar to this issue.
