Default IEC 60870-104 Slave in Straton

    Hello Colleagues
I have tried to use IEC 60870 Slave driver in Straton. I inserted IEC 60870 Slave in Field bus configuration.
After it I added Master/Port (Connection) and Slave Data Block (Device) for IEC104 communication.
But I couldn’t add variables to Device for transfer because the pictogram “Insert variable” is not active.

What is the reason? How can I add and watch list of variables for Device for transfer?

I have use v6.51 build14 and developer kit usb dongle (50200248) which has to include IEC 60870 Slave driver license.

    Hi,

The 60870 Slave links the variables with the use of profiles.
e.g. if you rightclick on a variable --> properties and select there the profile for IEC60870slave, you are then able to set the Information Type, and Information object adress.

Ok, it works thanks. I could transfer values of variable from one zenon project to another.

But now I have another problem. If I insert two devices for IEC60870 Slave how to divide variables between these devices. I want to send different numbers of variables to first and second devices.

And I couldn’t get commands to control Switching Devices using T45 or T46 type of telegram back to Straton. The checkbox Commands active in Straton IEC60870Slave was checked. Where can be a problem?

In case your slave should deliver data to few Masters, diverse sets of data for each master, you must place your IOs (variables) in few Sectors. Just use for variables diverse Common Address of ADSU setting.
    E.g. you have variables A, B, C, and D. Master1 should get A, B, C, Master2 - B, C, D.
    The settings are:
    for variable A - COA=10, for B and C - COA=20, for D - COA=30.
you can use any numbers for COA

Then configure Master1 to use Sector with COA = 10 and sector with COA = 20. And the Master2 to use Sector 20 and 30.

From which sectors the slave then delivers data depends on General Interrogation received when Master initializes the connection. The slave with particular master communicates only sectors where at least first GI command was terminated successfully; no GI - no data.

About commands: have you created correctly addressed variables for these commands, in slave and in master? What is written in logs when the master changes value of T45 and slave does not get it?
