Idee Get Command name from variable

    Hallo!

I try to get information about what Command is linked to variable.

    In code like
    Public Sub LeftClickDown_SdSymbol(obElem As Element)
      Dim var As Variable
      Set var = obElem.ItemVariable(0)
      Dim LockingName As String
      LockingName = var.DynProperties("LockingName")
    End Sub

    LockingName is always "".

    What I do wrong?

    Hi,

Not all Dynproperties are also available in the runtime.

Can you tell why you would want to read out the command group linked to a variable through the leftclickup event in the runtime?

    Hi,

OK, perhaps you can make this decision based on the variable name, or identification?

Did you know you can define specific keyboard screens, and define at the element, which keyboard should be used?

Perhaps it is an idea to have different symbols with combi-elements. One symbol, that you use for variables with command processing, and another symbol for other variables.

Another idea is also to export the property for set value and for the keyboard, at the combi-element in the linked symbol, and change at the linked symbol instance where required.

    Best regards,
    Mark

I didn't understand what do you mean with "keyboard screen"? May be it described in some pdf manual comes with zenon installation?

    Hi,

Sometimes I'm also surprised what treasures of information you can find in the zenon online help

Have a look at the properties of e.g. the combi-element, in the "set value" category. Here is the property "Screen Keyboard". When you select the property, you'll find basic information in the embedded property help, and more information, when you click the link in the embedded help, in the online help in the chapter "keyboard".
