    Hi,

it seems that the zenDBSrv.exe is not running.
Please check in the Taskmanager if the zenDBSrv.exe process is running.

If not, close the Editor and re-register your zenon version with the startup tool and check afterwards if the zenDBSrv.exe is running.

Then you should be able to start the Editor and restore/create projects.

    Regards,
    Bernhard

    Hi,

did you re-register with the Startup Tool, the zenDBSrvshould be started (and if not there should be an Error message).
Also check the Taskmanager while registering (sometimes the zenDBSrv starts and closes immediately afterwards).
You can also check if your ZENON_DEV SQL Server instance is running (check in the services.msc).

    Regards,
    Bernhard

From the screenshot it can be seen that there is an issue with the installation of the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express on your system.

Please note, that this is not a general issue, this works OK on other Windows 7 systems with 32 bit and 64 bit.

Some general things you can try when trying to install zenon:

    - make sure you install all Microsoft Updates available for your system. Please note that it may take several restarts and several checks to install all updates.

    - close all running programs while installing zenon

    - disable anti-virus or internet protection software while installing zenon

If all this does not help, please contact your local COPA-DATA support. They should be able help you.
