Driver for Siemens S7-1200

Hello.

We have a siemens S7-1200 plc we want to communicate with.
We already have the S7 TCP-IP driver fore some S7 300, is this the same driver for S7-1200?.
How should we set the TSAP setting?.
Is it anny other setting we have to change?

Yes, the S7TCP32 driver can be used to communicate to a S7-1200 PLC.

For the remote TSAP you need to use "02.01" (01 is the CPU location in the rack)

In Step7 for the data blocks (DB), you need to deactivate the option "only symbolic addressing" in order for the communication to work.

We have a siemens S7 400 CP 443-1, the problem is i cannot connect zenon 5.50 application. the error is communication disturb when running zenon runtime. is there any settings that i miss or need to be change?

Which settings should i look for zenon or in simatic net manager?

Hi ric,

When communicating with a S7-400 system you have different slot numbers for your CPU location.
depending if you using a (1)single slot power supply or (2)double slot you need to set the remote TSAP to (1) 02.02 or (2) 02.03

And, please also consult the driver manual.

I want to communicate with Zenon 6.22 SP1 runtime on a PC with S7 300 plc on profinet / Ethernet port .

Do I need any card like CP 443-1 in order to establish the communication ? or it can be done without any additional card .
