Default Make a copy of a project.

    Hej
We have 3 projects in a Windows XP with Zenon 6.22.
Each of the project is also downloaded to a panel with Windows CE.

One of the project is to be duplicated. The project contain two object, M1 and M2. In the new project the name is to be M3 and M4.
If I make a copy of the project, how do I rename all signals, pictures, functions… from *M1* to *M3* and *M2* to *M4*?

    Any suggestion?
    regards
    Tommy

    Hi,

it depends on what you want to rename.

Variables, Screens, Frames, Functions for example you can rename by simply using the "Replace text in selected column" functionality in the Detailview.

in zenon 6.22, the script is referenced by the name at the script execute function. When you rename a script, you also need to change the "script execute" function to the new name.

In 6.50 or 6.51 this has been changed, and now the script is referenced by it's ID. This means that when you rename the script, the script name automatically changes at the script execute function.

What you could try, is XML export the script execute functions in your copied project, open the XML file with an XML editor, or notepad, and use "search / replace" to change the name of the scripts according to your new script names, and import the functions again.
